The American Red Cross of Greater Chicago is proud to announce that Laura Rock has joined its board of directors.
Rock is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Zurich North America, an insurance provider to businesses and individuals that is based in Schaumburg, Illinois. Rock has more than 25 years of HR leadership and business experience, which includes leading HR Business Partners at Zurich Insurance Group’s Corporate Center in Switzerland. She previously was Head of HR at Farmers Group Inc., a member company of Zurich Insurance Group, Ltd.
“We are excited to welcome Laura to our Chicago Board of Directors; her leadership and expertise will be invaluable to the American Red Cross,” said Celena Roldán, chief executive officer of the American Red Cross of Illinois.
“I’m honored to join the Board of the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago,” Rock said. “Supporting resilience is at the heart of what the Red Cross does and also what we do at Zurich. Helping people thrive is a passion for me personally.”
Rock holds a Master of Science in Management from The American College of Financial Services and a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.
The volunteer board includes more than 30 civic and corporate leaders from a range of professional backgrounds for the Greater Chicago chapter that serves 7.7 million people in 5 counties.
