CHICAGO, IL (January 14, 2022) – The American Red Cross of Greater Chicago is proud to announce that Markus Glueck has joined its board of Directors.
Markus serves as Group Vice President at ITW Food Equipment Group, where he oversees the company’s global cooking platform. Markus has an impressive record of success leading international operations and executing strategy for more than 20 years. He has deep knowledge of complex cross-cultural management issues in Europe, Asia and North America
“The American Red Cross of Greater Chicago is fortunate to have civic and professional leaders of the caliber of Markus in our board of directors,” said Celena Roldán, chief executive officer of the American Red Cross of Illinois. “Markus’ business acumen and cross-cultural expertise will be valuable in helping the Red Cross advance its mission.” Added Roldán. “We are proud to have him joining our board and looking forward to working with such a remarkable professional.”
Markus holds a doctorate from Swiss Business School in Zurich. In addition, he earned an MBA at the University of Lincoln and Humberside School of Business in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science in Economics at the University of Applied Science in Pforzheim, Germany.
Markus, who is originally from Germany, has been living in the United States since 2003. He resides in Wilmette with his wife and two teenage daughters.
The volunteer board includes more than 30 civic and corporate leaders from a range of professional backgrounds for the Greater Chicago chapter that serves 7.7 million people in 5 counties.
