DETROIT (Aug. 6, 2026) – For the third time this year, but the first time during a national blood supply crisis, the American Red Cross and Gardner White are teaming up on drives that give donors an opportunity to help those who depend on lifesaving blood.
The two-day blood drive will be held from 11:30 a.m.–5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, and Thursday, Aug. 13, at Gardner White stores throughout southeast Michigan, Cadillac, Mt. Pleasant and Saginaw. The Red Cross and Gardner White also partnered on blood drives in January and April.
All presenting donors will receive a coupon for $50 toward a Gardner White purchase of $399 or more, plus be entered to win a $500 Gardner White gift certificate. Also, donors who give blood between Aug. 1-28 will get a $20 Amazon gift card by email.
All blood types are needed, especially O positive. Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. This includes new moms, babies born prematurely, accident victims, people living with sickle cell disease and people being treated for cancer.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are strongly encouraged. Make your donation appointment by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or using the Red Cross Blood Donor App. Use sponsor code gardnerwhite.
