Lee Eastburn
Lee brings over 17 years of exceptional experience in nonprofit leadership and humanitarian work, with a focus on volunteer engagement, strategic planning, and fostering community resilience. Her journey with the Red Cross has been marked by impactful leadership and a deep commitment to our mission.
Most recently, Lee has served as one of the Volunteer Services Recruitment Managers for the Colorado and Wyoming Region of the Red Cross based in Denver, Colorado. In this role, she exceeded volunteer recruitment targets by 140% and increased volunteer diversity from 21% to 36% in just one year through targeted outreach and inclusive strategies. Her work has strengthened community ties and created a robust, engaged volunteer base that reflects the diversity of the populations we serve.
Lee’s professional journey also includes roles in educational outreach, marketing, and environmental sustainability. Notably, during her tenure at the Tennessee Clean Water Network, she managed youth programs across multiple counties and secured significant grant funding to advance public health and environmental initiatives. Her background demonstrates her ability to build strong partnerships, secure funding, and lead innovative programs that leave lasting impacts.
Lee holds a DELE professional fluent level of Spanish and has a global perspective shaped by her time as an Environmental Development Specialist with the U.S. Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic. There, she worked with a team to secure over $500,000 in grant funding for community projects and led efforts to address environmental and public health challenges.
As Executive Director, Lee is excited to build upon the strong foundation of the Southern Missouri Chapter, fostering a culture of collaboration, volunteerism, and community mobilization. She looks forward to driving forward the Red Cross mission of alleviating human suffering while serving some of the most vulnerable populations in our region.
