The community is showing the love this February by making Giving Hearts Day a success for more than 300 charities. The 24-hour fundraising event held on February 9 raised more than $10 million for area non-profits.

A big thanks to everyone who helped spread the word about Giving Hearts Day, and to those who were able to contribute to the American Red Cross. We also extend our thanks to Dakota Medical Foundation for including the American Red Cross Dakotas Region in Giving Hearts Day again this year.

These donations enable the Red Cross to prepare for and respond to the needs of families and individuals affected by disasters, home fires, and other emergencies in the Dakotas Region. Your gift gives hope by helping provide a safe place to sleep, nourishing meals, and emotional support. 

As people begin to piece their lives back together, we also connect them with recovery resources for their disaster-related needs. It is our mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
