The American Red Cross Tulsa Area Chapter is pleased to announce two new members of its board of directors: Dr. Rebekah Doyle and Brian Martin.
Dr. Rebekah Doyle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology, Justice Studies and Global Security at Northeastern State University. She received her Ph.D. from Walden University, her M.S. in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from Arkansas Tech University, and also holds a B.S. in nursing.
While working for the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Doyle served as Homeland Security Region V Emergency Preparedness and Response Bioterrorism nurse. Additionally, she served on the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) grant review board. Dr. Doyle is an Oklahoma Public Health Leadership Institute Fellow.
Doyle is a volunteer with the American Red Cross and Rotary Club of Broken Arrow. On a personal note, she has a daughter she adores and enjoys fishing, hiking, and traveling.
Brian Martin is Director of HR and Payroll Services for Luxa Enterprises. Brian received his bachelor’s in business from Northeastern State University and his master's in management from Southern Nazarene University. Brian also serves as an adjunct professor at Southern Nazarene University.
Brian retired from the Oklahoma National Guard in 2018, serving a combined 20 years in both the Army and the Air Force. During his time in the military, Brian worked as a military police officer, drill sergeant and contracting specialist.
Brian has served in many roles during his HR and management career and with large corporations as well as many small and mid-size businesses such as Girling Health Care and United Stationers Inc.
Brian previously served on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross in Tulsa from 2013–2022. Brian and his wife, Beth, have three daughters, Peyton, Brianna and Megan. Brian loves to go camping, fishing and anything outdoors.
