Join us as we Sound the Alarm in Denton!
The Red Cross is partnering with the City of Denton for a Sound the Alarm event on Saturday, May 10, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will meet at the Denton Civic Center to prepare participants to install smoke detectors in the community with training on safety, installation practices, and fire safety information. We will then divide into teams and start installations.
No prior experience is necessary; each team will include a Denton Firefighter and an experienced Red Cross member. Snacks, water and lunch will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that align with the weather. Items such as hats and sunscreen can make a big difference. Supervised teens 16 years of age and older are welcome to participate.
