American Red Cross clubs, like ours at Flower Mound High School, are a fun and engaging way for students to get involved and volunteer with the Red Cross on our school campus and throughout the community. Our club at FMHS was founded in the spring of 2021, and we are an officially recognized extension of the American Red Cross and take part in service projects and leadership training. We currently have 92 members who volunteer and participate in our projects.
We plan on hosting four projects this year that align with the organization’s ideals and mission. As of now, we have had a disaster preparedness event and Veteran’s Day toiletry drive. We also have a CPR certification event coming up and a volleyball fundraiser tournament near the end of the school year. Our club is a great way to meet new people and give back to the community in a fun, friendly environment!
