DALLAS, FEBRUARY 9, 2023 — The American Red Cross North Texas Region announced Dr. Linda Braddy as its new chief executive officer today. Dr. Braddy will step into her new position on February 27 and will be based out of the regional headquarters in Dallas, where she will oversee Red Cross programs and services for over nine million people in 121 counties and six Red Cross chapters.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Braddy, a passionate senior leader with significant community leadership experience, who will make an outstanding and immediate impact to our North Texas Region," said Matt Anderson, Board Chair, Red Cross DFW Metro East Chapter. “A natural humanitarian, during her tenure at Dallas College Brookhaven she demonstrated a commitment to community that is well aligned with the values and goals of our Red Cross in North Texas.”
Dr. Braddy served as the president of Dallas College Brookhaven Campus from 2019 to 2023, where she was responsible for leading initiatives which contribute to the vibrancy, growth, and economic stability of Dallas County. Among her many responsibilities, Linda served as interim provost while helping Dallas College restructure to meet the needs of students and the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Under Dr. Braddy’s leadership, the Brookhaven campus has thrived,” said Dr. Justin Lonon, Dallas College Chancellor. “Her ability to develop meaningful relationships with our local community, civic organizations and businesses resulted in critical support for our students and created lasting change at Brookhaven. While we’ll miss her, we look forward to her making an even greater impact in her new role and wish her continued success.”
Prior to joining Dallas College, Dr. Braddy served in leadership roles at Tarrant County College Northeast Campus near Fort Worth. First, as dean of the division of mathematics and natural sciences, and later as vice president for academic affairs. Previously she served as deputy executive director of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Braddy is a committed volunteer and servant leader, serving as a court-appointed special advocate for Dallas CASA, the chair of the board of directors for Mathematics Learning by Inquiry Inc., the liaison to the board of directors for Metrocrest Services and the Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce.

"I look forward to continuing to work with community members throughout the DFW and North Texas region to help address the needs of individuals affected by disasters large or small."
