Find Out How You Can Help.

Welcome to the Science Lab

This is where you can peer into a microscope to see what makes up your blood. It may look strange, but this is the kind of thing biomedical scientists at the American Red Cross see and study almost every day.

You also can meet a boy whose life was saved by Red Cross blood donors, and learn how your blood also can save lives when you become old enough to be a donor at age 17.

Also take some time to learn a little bit about the Jerome H. Holland Laboratory for the Biomedical Sciences. This is where American Red Cross researchers study blood and research ways to cure deadly diseases such as AIDS.

We hope you learn something while you're here, and we hope you come back soon. We'll be adding new and interesting information regularly.
