Sacramento, CALIF., July 27, 2017 – In response to the devastating Detwiler Fire in Mariposa County and other wildfires throughout California, Wells Fargo & Company today announced it will donate $100,000 to the American Red Cross’ California Wildfire relief efforts.
The funds will support relief and recovery assistance to residents and communities affected by the fires, specifically those in Mariposa County.
"Our hearts go out to Mariposa residents and local business owners whose homes or businesses have been lost, damaged or threatened by the Detwiler fire," said David Galasso, Lead Region President for Wells Fargo’s Greater California Region. "This $100,000 donation will help alleviate some financial burden and allow the American Red Cross to continue to provide relief to first responders and those impacted by the fire."

In addition to its corporate contribution, Wells Fargo customers may donate to the American Red Cross’ wildfire relief efforts at Wells Fargo ATMs throughout California, now through August 7. Wells Fargo customers will not be charged a fee for using this service, and 100-percent of the donations will be provided to the American Red Cross.
