CHICO, CA (March 13, 2023) — The American Red Cross California Gold Country Region will celebrate all that our volunteers do to support the Red Cross mission at The BASH in Chico on Thursday, March 16.
The event is part of the 80th annual American Red Cross Month celebration — a national tradition that began in 1943 when President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued the first Red Cross Month proclamation.
The BASH will be held at Manzanita Place, 1705 Manzanita Ave. from 5-8 p.m. The public is invited to join us for this annual celebration by purchasing tickets or becoming a BASH sponsor by clicking here.
Local volunteers, Red Cross staff and partners will be on hand for interviews about our lines of service and to discuss current and future disaster responses in Northern California.
The public can also participate in Red Cross Month by visiting redcross.org to make a financial donation, give blood or platelets, become a volunteer or take a class in lifesaving skills, such as first aid, CPR and how to use an AED.
On March 22, you can also join our annual Red Cross Giving Day campaign by donating at redcross.org/givingday to help provide shelter, food, relief items, emotional support and other assistance for people affected by disasters big and small.
