GLOW Red is an IN-PERSON four-day, three-night leadership camp where a diverse group of high school-age youth (in grades 9-11 as of May 2024) gather together to develop character and leadership skills
GLOW Red creates an environment that builds leadership in youth beyond the traditional norm of lectures and workshops by utilizing fun, interactive, and innovative activities to encourage youth leaders to not only foster new relationships, but to also embark on a journey of self-discovery.
We cover the basics of fundamental leadership through individual and group activities to stress the importance of communication, problem solving, and decision making. In addition, delegates learn to understand different leadership styles, group dynamics, and most importantly, building trust in your team.
One of GLOW Red’s major focuses is leadership development. Our summer camp allows youth to explore their personal development through social engagement through a variety of special events such as educational learning labs, facilitated workshops, and a talent show. In just a short four days and three nights, the bonds that are formed at GLOW Red are incredibly special and impactful.
Beyond self-exploration, we also provide youth a gateway into learning more about the American Red Cross Mission and Lines of Service: disaster preparedness, Red Cross service delivery, Hands-Only CPR, and numerous volunteer opportunities.

PAYMENT:
The full camp fee payment is due by Tuesday, June 4, 2024 to confirm your spot at camp.

Information about our 45th year of GLOW Red will be available on this page in January 2025. We look forward to seeing you continue your involvement with the American Red Cross!
GLOW Red was such an amazing experience for me; over the course of 4 days, I was able to have a blast in Big Bear while refining my leadership skills and making new friends with people all throughout Southern California! GLOW Red is an opportunity to get out of your comfort zone!
My experience at the GLOW Red Leadership Camp was something I had never experienced before! I went as a really shy person and came out as someone who had confidence in myself as a leader. It was such a great experience, and I’m so grateful I got to go. Not only make so many friends, but I learned new leadership skills!
I found a ton of new friends at GLOW Red, and it also gave me the opportunity to be a better leader while I was having fun. One of my favorite memories was when I choreographed and danced to K-pop with my friends!
GLOW Red was honestly one of the happiest moments of my life! Meeting new people, expanding beyond my comfort zones, and learning from others really made the experience a once in a lifetime. It was a really comfortable environment, and I was able to truly be myself without any regrets.

GLOW Red has been a life-changing experience for me. Through the GLOW Group activities, I was able to reflect upon myself and improve myself. I would recommend it to anyone who is able to attend.
