Christopher Batt, the vice president and branch manager of the Idaho Independent Bank in Nampa, has joined the American Red Cross of Greater Idaho’s board of directors.
Batt, who lives in Meridian, has worked at Idaho Independent Bank since 2004. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Idaho and received an MBA from Boise State University.
Batt currently serves on the board of the Nampa Schools Foundation and is a member of the Nampa Rotary Club. He also has served on the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce and is past president of the Caldwell Rotary Club.
“I’m beyond excited to get involved in a different part of the community that I haven’t been involved in in the past,” Batt said. “This organization has a much more national and international reach but at the same time has a direct reach into the community right here where I live.”
As a member of the Caldwell Rotary Club, Batt said he helped provide meals to those who gave blood during a Red Cross blood drive in Caldwell right around Christmastime. He said he was impressed with Red Cross’ level of efficiency and professionalism.
“We are extremely honored to welcome Christopher Batt to our board,” Red Cross of Greater Idaho board chairman Mike Willits said. “Mr. Batt exemplifies the values of the Red Cross. His service to community and business acumen will assist us well as we direct the important efforts of the Idaho Red Cross.”
