7 Circle of Kindness was born out of a sense of responsibility to the community. It is a WHIO-TV initiative serving communities with seven pillars that focus on things important to viewers, including education, peace, environment, diversity, and more.

September is Sickle Cell Awareness month. Sickle Cell is the most common genetic blood disorder in the U.S., and regular blood transfusions are critical to manage extreme pain and life-threatening complications. Black and multi-racial donors play a critical role in meeting our community need for blood with the unique ability to help patients with Sickle Cell disease.

Together, we have the power to help save lives and strengthen community health and when our communities give together, we heal together.
