90% of the humanitarian work of the Red Cross is carried out by volunteers who generously give their time to help others. Together, we can do extraordinary things. Become a Red Cross Northern Ohio volunteer at www.redcross.org/volunteertoday.
The demand for Red Cross support here, and around the country, has never been higher, as natural disasters are more frequent and destructive than ever before. Please join us for a virtual information session to learn how you can serve Northern Ohio communities and travel to support national Red Cross relief efforts across the country.
All is not fair in war. Even war has rules, and those rules are called International Humanitarian Law. Join the Academy to learn about IHL and to understand what is happening in today’s armed conflicts. You can choose from several virtual Explainers that are 15-30 minutes each and focus on the basics of one aspect of IHL. Currently available (with more to come) Explainers are: What is IHL? · What Is the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement? · Why Should Civilians Learn About IHL? · What are “Types” of Armed Conflicts? · What Does the Red Cross Emblem Signify? · Who’s Who During Armed Conflicts? · How Are Civilians Protected by IHL?
Join us for a Virtual IHL Explainer Session
