Our newly renovated 700 Spring Garden Street headquarters in Philadelphia is where staff, volunteers, donors, and members of the community will come together to drive the lifesaving work of the American Red Cross. It is one of the largest Red Cross buildings in the nation and will serve as a center of hope for people in Southeastern Pennsylvania and beyond.
Versatile, collaborative workspaces surround the key operational areas in this modern center for blood, humanitarian, training, military, and international Red Cross services in Philadelphia.
The renovated donation center offers a permanent location for donors to give blood and platelets locally and additional specialized donation opportunities while providing lifesaving blood products to the local community. The site is home to the American Red Cross’ only National Molecular Laboratory, plus an Immunohematology Reference Laboratory and several others. These state-of-the-art laboratories provide testing services and expertise to help both local and national hospitals care for patients in challenging and unique medical situations.
The renovated headquarters building will house all American Red Cross mission delivery in one modern, accessible space at 700 Spring Garden Street in Philadelphia.
Donors are eligible for unique naming opportunities when giving toward our mission services. If interested in making a new or upgraded gift to secure your name on one of the spaces below, contact Joy.Cauthorn@redcross.org or call 267-246-4529.

In line with organizational efforts to improve sustainability, the American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania is investing in building renovations and capital improvements across our 5-county footprint.
In 2024 we are building and/or renovating four Blood Donation Centers, bringing our total to six by year’s end. Two of these sites—East Norriton and Langhorne—represent brand new donor centers to expand our reach in the suburbs, where the majority of our blood donors live and work. West Chester and Spring Garden (Philadelphia) are new donor centers replacing outdated sites. These will be in addition to a new site in Horsham that opened in 2021 and our existing donor center in Northeast Philadelphia.
The new donor centers will improve the donor experience with more beds and improved recovery spaces and make the whole donation process more efficient. All sites feature energy-saving utilities, reducing our overall energy use despite adding more donor centers. Plus, we’re reducing our carbon footprint by being a closer drive for our donors.
