In February 2023, Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) began its partnership with the American Red Cross to further its efforts to improve the well-being of the communities in which it works and support the Red Cross' mission to alleviate human suffering. 

KDP's multi-year partnership with the Red Cross includes pledging $1 million over three years, helping to ensure the Red Cross can respond to more than 60,000 disasters annually — providing safe shelter, meals, emotional support and resources to aid recovery. 

The Company's financial support also makes it a Red Cross Disaster Responder Member, a special group of forward-thinking companies and organizations that understand that critical systems and supplies must be pre-positioned before the disaster hits. This early investment in disaster relief ensures that tens of thousands of Red Crossers — 90% of them volunteers — have the training, equipment and technology to turn heartbreak into hope and stand with their neighbors after a disaster as they rebuild their lives. 

One of the ways KDP supports the Red Cross' disaster relief efforts is through in-person and virtual blood drives across the country. Throughout 2023, the Company hosted five drives and has committed to hosting seven more in 2024. Adding a unique touch to the blood drives and extending their commitment both locally in North Texas and nationwide, KDP has provided in-kind donations of Mott's apple juice for refreshment and recovery areas to refuel the generous donors who take the time to roll up their sleeves and donate blood.

"The Red Cross' network and expertise will allow us to make our communities even more resilient and provide support to those in need." 

This year, KDP is implementing its annual Safety Week at their new Corporate Headquarters in Frisco in June to increase employee safety awareness by allowing expert resources like the Red Cross, Frisco Fire & Police Department and other safety professionals to discuss safety topics and empower their employees to attend by bringing the classroom to them.

To connect the Red Cross mission with their employee resource groups, KDP will also host an in-person, hands-only CPR training at their Texas and Massachusetts corporate headquarters after successful trainings with their Veterans and First Responders Employee Resource Group (ERG) in and Coffee Business Unit team members.

KDP also connected their Veterans and First Responders ERG with the Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces unit, helping to foster engagement and support for those great men and women who have served in the armed forces and their families. While this connection occurred in North Texas, KDP had several employees in their Massachusetts headquarters connect with their local Red Cross chapter to ensure their veteran resource group was trained in first aid, CPR and using an AED.
