Twenty-two expectant military families celebrated with a baby shower hosted by the American Red Cross North Texas Region Tiffany Circle in February. The shower provided well-deserved moments of joy and support for the families, many of whom face unique challenges as part of military life.
Among the families honored was the Rodriguez family. The Marine couple are already the proud parents of Miah, 7 and Eli, 5 and expecting their third child on March 30. The couple first met on base at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base and have carved out a life together, balancing family and military careers.
Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez both serve in the U.S. Marine Corps and are expecting their third child on March 30.
Nicholle Pratt brought her 10-day-old daughter, Violet, to the shower. Violet is the sixth child in the Pratt family, joining four brothers and a sister. Nicholle's husband is a medical professional in the Navy and will retire in two years.
Nicholle has also contributed to the military community by serving as an ombudsman, where she helped send out critical Red Cross messages to service members and their families.
