On April 30, Texas Capital Bank employees teamed up with the American Red Cross North Texas Region to assemble wellness kits and appreciation packages for military personnel, veterans and veterans volunteering with the Red Cross.
More than 200 people participated in the Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces kit-build event, where volunteers created kits containing essential self-care items, thank-you gifts and handwritten notes of encouragement.
The event featured three stations:
Each kit contained items such as stress balls, hand sanitizer, lip balm, first aid supplies, hydration packs and fun accessories like sunglasses.

In recognition of its contributions, Texas Capital Bank received the Red Cross Spirit Award for Outstanding Achievement. The bank has supported the organization in various ways, including hosting blood drives and donating vehicles to aid community outreach.
“When you hear about a disaster on TV, the Red Cross are the first ones there,” said Effie Dennison, managing director of the Foundation for Corporate Engagement at Texas Capital Bank. “At Texas Capital Bank, we want to be involved, and not just financially.”
Red Cross representatives Dominica McCarthy and Nikeesha Bufford shared information about ongoing initiatives, including Sound the Alarm, which provides free smoke detector installations for households in need, and Shelter Heroes, which recruits volunteers to support emergency shelter operations.
In 2024, the Red Cross provided 42,125 support services and resiliency programs for U.S. military veterans, active-duty service members and their families. Volunteers collectively contributed more than 175,000 hours to assist those in need.
The successful kit-build event reinforced Texas Capital Bank's strong partnership with the Red Cross, highlighting their shared commitment to honoring and supporting military personnel, veterans and dedicated volunteers.
