DALLAS, June 29, 2026 — The American Red Cross North Texas Region, in partnership with the Frisco RoughRiders, will host a three-day blood drive July 7-9 to help strengthen the blood supply during the critical summer months.
The drive will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Riders Field, inside the Bullpen Bar, 7300 RoughRiders Trail in Frisco.
Summer is one of the most challenging times of the year for blood collection due to travel, school breaks and severe weather. The Red Cross has recently seen a drop in scheduled donations at a time when every donation is critical to keeping blood products on hospital shelves. Donors of all blood types are urgently needed to help prevent a shortage.
“We’re excited to partner with the Frisco RoughRiders to rally the community around this lifesaving cause,” said Linda Braddy, CEO, American Red Cross North Texas. “A single blood donation can help save more than one life, and it’s a meaningful way for neighbors to support patients in need across the country.”
Unlike many medical treatments, blood cannot be manufactured or stockpiled; it can only come from volunteer donors. The need for blood remains constant, regardless of major events or seasonal activities.
Community members are encouraged to step up to the plate and help save lives by scheduling an appointment at RedCrossBlood.org and entering the sponsor code roughriders.
As a thank-you, those who come to give blood at these blood drives, July 7-9, will receive two vouchers*, each good for (1) ticket to a 2026 Frisco RoughRiders home game, while supplies last.
All who come to give June 29-July 12 will receive a classic Red Cross x Looney Tunes™ T-shirt, while supplies last. See RedCrossBlood.org/LooneyTunes for details.
