DALLAS — Every day, families across North Texas face unexpected emergencies, from home fires to severe weather and other disasters. With North Texas Giving Day just two weeks away, the American Red Cross North Texas Region is calling on the community to help ensure families receive support when they need it most.

This annual community-wide fundraising event will take place on Thursday, Sept. 17.

Hosted by Communities Foundation of Texas, North Texas Giving Day is the nation's largest community-wide giving event. The year-round giving platform supports organizations across more than 25 cause areas serving communities throughout North Texas.

“Emergencies can change a family’s life in an instant, and our neighbors should never have to face those moments alone,” said Dr. Linda Braddy, CEO of American Red Cross North Texas. “North Texas Giving Day is an opportunity for our community to come together and support one another.”

Generous donors like Energy Transfer, which hosts Red Cross blood drives and has supported the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program for the past five years, help advance the mission.
