DALLAS — On Sept. 17, North Texans can make a direct impact in their communities through North Texas Giving Day by supporting the American Red Cross North Texas Region and aid the humanitarian services that help families prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters.

North Texas Giving Day, hosted by Communities Foundation of Texas, is the nation's largest community-wide giving event. The annual fundraiser brings together thousands of donors to support nonprofits serving communities across more than 25 cause areas throughout North Texas.

"North Texas Giving Day shows the power of neighbors helping neighbors," said Dr. Linda Braddy, CEO of American Red Cross North Texas. "Every gift helps ensure families facing emergencies receive critical support, comfort and care when they need it most.”

Gifts to the American Red Cross ensure volunteers can provide emergency shelter, food, relief supplies, emotional support and recovery assistance to people impacted by disasters. Donations also support preparedness education, lifesaving services and other humanitarian efforts across North Texas.
