The American Red Cross and 95.5 KLOS again came together to rock Southern California’s airwaves and host the 40th Annual 95.5 KLOS Blood Drive.
After 40 years, the 95.5 KLOS Annual Blood Drive can indeed include the description of being a “Legacy Event.” In the simplest definition, a legacy is a gift handed down from one person to another. With that definition in mind, a legacy event occurred at the Red Cross Santa Ana Red Cross Blood Donation Center on Friday, August 20, 2021, by a group of committed humanitarians that I call Legacy Donors! Together with volunteers, blood donor staff, and hundreds of other donors, they all participated in making this year’s 95.5 KLOS Annual Blood Drive a genuine Legacy Event!
Thanks to the generosity of blood donors that came to donate at Santa Ana or one of the 14 blood drive locations, this year’s blood drive helped collect 962 pints of blood surpassing initial collection goal estimates. Dedicated blood donors like the ones featured below, along with thousands of Southern California blood donors, help make the 95.5 KLOS Blood Drive a Legacy Event. During the past four decades, the 95.5 KLOS Annual Blood Drive has helped collect nearly 200,000 units of blood products for patients needing blood transfusions, including transplant recipients, accident victims, and cancer patients.
