FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 28, 2019) – Florida’s Southern Gulf Chapter of the American Red Cross has named Jamie Andersen as the new Chair of its Board of Directors. Her tenure officially begins on July 1.
Andersen is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank based in Naples, Fla. She leads a team of specialists that implement tailored financial strategies in investment management, custom lending, trust and estate planning, and philanthropy. Her team takes a holistic approach to working with high net worth families and institutions, addressing both their current financial needs and multi-generational wealth goals. She enjoys working with clients to streamline their financial affairs and sustain their legacies. She also serves on the Bank of America Leadership Team for Lee and Collier Counties.
Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank in 2016, Andersen served as executive director of the Florida's Southern Gulf Chapter of the Red Cross where she provided leadership to hundreds of volunteers as they supported over one million Southwest Floridians. Preceding that role, she worked in New York City in senior financial services positions at J.P. Morgan and Bank of America Corporation where she provided strategic advice to private banking and corporate clients. She received her B.A. from Wellesley College where she graduated magna cum laude, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and served as College Government President.
Andersen is passionate about serving the community and advancing every generation. Prior to being elected chair, she has served on the chapter’s Board since 2016, most recently as vice chair. She also serves as vice chair of the Community School of Naples Annual Fund. She serves on the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame Collier Advisory Board and the Collier County Infrastructure Surtax Citizen Oversight Committee. She is a member of the Forum Club of Southwest Florida, the Wellesley Business Leadership Council and is a graduate of Leadership Collier. Her greatest joys are her wonderful husband and two children.
“Jamie has been a highly engaged leader on our board for several years. She understands that the Red Cross mission is vital in our community. Her passion for civic engagement and leadership will enhance our community impact.” said Jill Palmer, executive director of Florida’s Southern Gulf Chapter. “We look forward to the year and working with our dedicated volunteers to serve our community.”
