POMPANO BEACH, FLA (MAY 15, 2023) — Overnight, the American Red Cross responded to a fire at the Royal Atlantic Apartments on NW 7th Avenue in Pompano Beach. Fire officials say approximately 22 units have been affected and over 55 people have been displaced by the blaze. Four Red Cross volunteers are still on scene helping to coordinate emergency aid for the affected residents.
Red Cross volunteers on the scene are members of the Disaster Action Team, a group of specially trained volunteers who respond to the scene of a local disaster when called upon at any time – day or night. Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by donations to the Red Cross.
