VERO BEACH, Fla. (May 2, 2019) – Florida’s Coast to Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross announced that Alfreda Wooten will join its Board of Directors.
Wooten has been employed with Florida Power & Light Company for over 40 years. She currently serves as a Customer Advisor, acting as the point of contact for major and governmental accounts, ensuring all their business needs with the utility are met.
She is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil/County Mediator. She gives back to the community by volunteering her services to mediate cases in the 18th and 19th Judicial Circuit Courts of Florida.
Wooten is passionate about helping others in any way she can. She is a wife, a mother of two sons and a grandmother of seven.
“Alfreda is a strong leader in our communities and will be an asset for our mission,” said Sarah Ruwe, executive director of Florida’s Coast to Heartland Chapter. “I look forward to working with her and the rest of the board to continue the initiatives that will help to strengthen all of our counties.”
