Dharma Nichols and Nicole Sirak Irwin present a Red Cross award to Boise Towne Square General Manager Dewey Richardson recognizing their support of Red Cross blood drives.
In December, the Red Cross of Idaho and East Oregon was honored to present Boise Towne Square with a Red Cross award recognizing the mall as an outstanding blood drive host and community champion.
Last month alone, the mall hosted nine blood drives — including the Ada County Paramedics “Sirens & Scrubs” drive taking place during the ceremony.
"We can’t carry out our mission without the support of incredible partners, dedicated volunteers and generous donors," said Nicole Sirak Irwin, Red Cross of Idaho, Montana and East Oregon CEO. "Whether it’s helping families recover after disasters, supporting Idaho’s military members or ensuring patients have access to blood products, our work depends on a strong and caring community."
Over the past five years, Boise Towne Square has hosted 156 blood drives, collecting more than 5,200 units of blood and welcoming more than 620 first-time donors to begin a lifetime of giving.
