It’s easy to get involved with the Red Cross in the Quad Cities and West Central Illinois. Local opportunities include becoming a trained disaster relief response volunteer helping people affected by home fires; supporting trauma, cancer, and other patients in need by donating blood, platelet, and plasma at our local blood donation center; and learning CPR, First AID, and other lifesaving skills that will prepare you to respond to emergencies.
The best way to provide immediate relief to your neighbors facing emergency situations is through a monetary donation. Our disaster assistance programs rely heavily on the generous financial support of citizens in the Illinois region. Trish Burnett has been a dedicated member of the American Red Cross since 2015, initially serving as the Regional Communication and Marketing Director for the former Central and Southern Illinois Region. In 2018, she was promoted to Executive Director for what is now the Quad Cities and Northwest Illinois Chapter. In this role, Trish leads a team of passionate volunteers, donors, and staff to fulfill the Red Cross mission across 20 counties.
With deep roots in the Quad Cities and a personal connection to the Freeport/Rockford area through her husband, Trish is proud to serve in the Quad Cities and Northwest Illinois chapter. She brings specialized training in Disaster Communications and Pet Sheltering during Disasters, enhancing her ability to support those in need during emergencies. Additionally, Trish proudly serves on the board of the Humane Society of Scott County, reflecting her dedication to animal welfare.
