Protect Yourself Against Local Emergencies

American Red Cross volunteers responded to 29 home fires in the past week in Chicago, Joliet, Riverdale, Round Lake Park, Country Club Hills and Dixmoor and provided assistance to 149 people, including 53 children, by supplying them with items to meet immediate needs after a fire, and additional support in the form of health and mental health services and one-on-one support.
