The American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign helps save lives by installing free smoke alarms in homes that don't have them, and by educating people about home fire safety.
This year we hope to provide smoke alarms and home fire safety education to more than 770 homes across Idaho, Montana, and East Oregon.
Want to learn how to make your home safer?
The Red Cross and its partners are pleased to offer FREE education sessions on Home Fire Safety and, where feasible, the installation of FREE smoke alarms.
Please complete the form below to sign up for a FREE home fire safety education session to help make your home safer against home fires. A member of our Home Fire Campaign team will follow up with you to schedule an appointment (virtual or in-person) to share home fire safety information and, where feasible, install FREE smoke alarms.
Prepare, respond and help families recover from home fires.
1. The Red Cross and its partners can test existing smoke alarms and install up to three free smoke alarms for those that need them.
2. The Montana Region will provide installation services in Montana only. Requests will be fulfilled as resources allow, with priority given to requests during National Sound the Alarm events. If you live outside of this area and would like to identify your local region office, please visit Redcross.org (or call 1-800-REDCROSS)
3. If you are able to purchase and install your own smoke alarm but would like information on home fire safety and smoke alarm installation, please visit Redcross.org/homefire.
