LAS VEGAS, NV January 28, 2019 – The American Red Cross of Southern Nevada is pleased to announce the election of Clark Dumont as chair of the board of directors. Mr. Dumont, a management consultant with Dumont Communications, LLC, is a long-time resident of Las Vegas. Dumont was the chief of staff and senior vice president of corporate communications with MGM Resorts International, and has held similar leadership positions with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, BAE Systems and the Nevada Cancer Institute.
In Mr. Dumont’s words, “The Red Cross is one of the longest, continually operating non-government organizations in our state and region. For 102 years it has been an essential organization that unites people from across a community to bring care and assistance to their neighbors and strangers, at times of need and vulnerability. It is a force multiplier and a force of nature for good in times of trouble and need. As importantly, it is also focused on making communities, and the people in them, resilient, ready and prepared should disaster strike.

The board also elected Kim Marie Rebeiro as the vice chair. Ms. Rebeiro is an organizational development expert and leader, and Principal & Founder of Executive Impact LLC. Michael Feder, Esq., is the new secretary and is a member/partner with Las Vegas law firm Dickson Wright, LLC. Rounding out the board officers as the immediate past chair is Tyler Corder, chief financial officer for Findlay Automotive Group.

Alan Diskin is the executive director of the Red Cross of Southern Nevada and is responsible for local program coordination, management of the board of directors and for ensuring the goals and mission of the American Red Cross are conveyed effectively. Mr. Diskin looks forward to continuing his role working with a board of directors that has demonstrated such a profound “commitment to service” for the Southern Nevada community.
