Disaster Action Team Trainee: Be part of a team that helps respond to provide 24-hour immediate support and assistance to individuals and families who have been impacted by a home fire or other local disaster. Both in-person and virtual positions available.

Disaster Health Services Team: You can use your professional skills as a licensed healthcare provider to deliver hands-on care and education to shelter residents. Qualified licenses include RN, LPN, LVN, EMT, Paramedic, MD, DO, PA, NP, and APRN. 

Disaster Shelter Volunteer: Support the day-to-day activities within a shelter which may include working in reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information, or other vital areas within a shelter.

Blood Transportation Specialist: You will be the critical link between blood donors and blood recipients by delivering blood, platelets, or other blood products to a hospital. 

Blood Donor Ambassador: Engage donors by greeting, registering, answering questions, providing information, and supporting them through the recovery process at the refreshments table.

Hero Care Network Caseworker: Ensure military families' needs are met when faced with an emergency.

Military Clinic Volunteer: Provide assistance with tasks in a clinical setting; support staff in a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities as well as enhance the morale of patients.

Event Support Volunteer: Assist with local tabling events/briefings at various military outreach functions to share the Red Cross mission and how we service our military communities.

Reconnection Workshop Adult Modules Facilitator: Provide Reconnection Workshop modules to military, veterans and their families in various community-based settings as a mental health professional.

Qualified licenses include: Master’s level or higher mental health professional with independent, clinical and unencumbered license in one of the following disciplines: Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, School Counseling/Psychology; Nursing (APN or CS in Mental Health area; RN’s who are board certified in Psy/MH).

Administration Assistant: Support the Red Cross by performing administrative duties to support a specific team, department, or territory.

Facilities Volunteer: Assist with basic facilities projects at the local Red Cross Unit.

Fleet Volunteer: Help coordinate the scheduling, utilization, maintenance, and documentation, of American Red Cross vehicles to ensure the organization has a fully operational and deployable fleet.

Digital Volunteer: Social engagement volunteers interact with supporters on social platforms, help tell the Red Cross story and showcase Red Cross programs and services through socials posts containing photos and videos across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and others.

Feature Writer Volunteer: Be a part of the team that creates professionally written content for news releases, media alerts, and regional platforms including blogs, social media feeds, websites and other outlets.

Media Relations Volunteer: Be a part of a professional volunteer team that develops and delivers the Red Cross story behind-the-scenes, on-camera, in-person and online through media channels, websites, social media feeds and other content platforms.

Fundraising Administrative Volunteer: Help fulfill fundraising needs and provide support for annual fundraising events; chapter stewardship efforts such as mailings, thank you calls to donors; conduct thank you calls/notes to donors; office assistance; donor database maintenance.

Recruitment Volunteer: Help recruit new volunteers for general and specific volunteer opportunities. Assist in researching outreach events, fairs and community groups to set up recruitment presentations and community engagement events.

Volunteer Screener: Screeners use their understanding of the volunteer and match it with the needs of the organization, connecting volunteers with positions for which they are both interested and well suited.
