It’s all about time. You have just two minutes to escape a home fire
RENO, Nev. (May 3, 2021) –Do you know how to safely escape a home fire? What to do if a fire occurs? And how to prepare your children for fire?
This is the final week of the Red Cross Sound the Alarm initiative, in which Red Cross volunteers will meet and talk with residents by virtual appointment to share fire safety information and help them create an escape plan. Participants in the 20-minute session will learn about:
To book an appointment (available in English and Spanish), visit our Sound the Alarm website. Participants are entered into a prize drawing and are also eligible to receive a free smoke alarm installed by a Red Cross volunteer at a future date (must own your home to be eligible).
