LAS VEGAS (Dec. 2, 2025) — Today is GivingTuesday, and the American Red Cross of Southern Nevada is urging the community to make their generosity go twice as far before midnight. Thanks to a special partnership with The Coca-Cola Company, every donation made today will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $200,000.
This opportunity allows Nevadans to make an even greater difference in supporting disaster relief, lifesaving blood services and aid for military families. A $96 donation becomes $192 and can provide two days of food, blankets and supplies for a family in crisis. A $200 gift becomes $400 and provides two full days of food and shelter for a family. Donations can be made at redcross.org/GivingTuesday, but this matching opportunity ends at midnight today.
“All across the country, families are working to rebuild their lives after devastating disasters and life-altering emergencies. They’re counting on the American Red Cross for support during some of life’s darkest moments,” said Rachel Flanigan, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Southern Nevada Chapter. “With The Coca-Cola Company’s matching gift, donations will go even further to bring comfort, hope and critical aid to those who need it most.”
Nevadans Can Make a Difference This GivingTuesday
The need for support has never been greater. This year, the Red Cross of Southern Nevada has responded to over 240 home fires, helping more than 1,100 people. Red Cross volunteers from Southern Nevada have also deployed across the country to provide aid in the wake of devastating hurricanes, wildfires and floods.
“Now more than ever, the Red Cross is a lifeline for families facing unimaginable challenges,” Flanigan said. “This GivingTuesday, we’re asking Nevadans to take action, whether it’s through a financial gift, a blood donation or volunteering time. Together, we can make a profound difference.”
