LAS VEGAS (March 12, 2025) — The American Red Cross of Southern Nevada is inviting the community to take advantage of March Matching Madness, a special campaign that increases the power of every donation. Over four days during Red Cross Month, contributions will be matched dollar-for-dollar thanks to the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporate partners. The first matching opportunity is Thursday, March 13, where donations made on redcross.org will be matched up to $100,000.
These matching opportunities maximize each contribution’s impact, helping the Red Cross continue to provide support to communities. Donations help support disaster relief, lifesaving blood collection, preparedness training, and resources for veterans and military families, ensuring communities have the help they need in times of crisis.
“We are deeply thankful for these remarkable acts of generosity,” said Rachel Flanigan, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Southern Nevada Chapter. “Matching donations not only doubles the impact of every gift but also inspires our community to come together and make a difference. Their support strengthens our ability to provide essential aid during emergencies, bringing hope and help to those in need.”
March Matching Madness Days
The March 13 matching event is supported by Masco Corporation, a global leader in home improvement and building products, and a longtime Red Cross supporter. Masco will match donations up to $100,000 and has previously provided $250,000 to assist with disaster relief efforts.
These upcoming matching days provide even more chances to double your impact and support lifesaving Red Cross programs on redcross.org:
March 26 is Red Cross Giving Day
The 11th annual Red Cross Giving Day creates an opportunity for the community to come together to support those affected by disasters. Contributions made on this day help provide resources like shelter, meals, health services, emotional support and financial aid to those rebuilding their lives after emergencies. Last year, the Red Cross of Southern Nevada responded to nearly 350 home fires, providing aid to almost 1,300 residents. More details are available at redcross.org/givingday.
