The American Red Cross on Long Island, headquartered in Mineola, NY, serves more than 2.8 million residents across Nassau and Suffolk counties with disaster response, emergency support, services for military families and veterans, and lifesaving training.
To meet rising humanitarian needs and prepare for increasingly severe emergencies, the Red Cross is renovating its Long Island Chapter Headquarters to strengthen readiness, accessibility, and response capacity.
A Critical Hub for Long Island
Long Island’s geography can become isolated during storms and emergencies, requiring local supplies, trained volunteers, and rapid coordination. The Mineola headquarters remains a strategically vital hub, ensuring services and disaster response resources are ready when access to the island is limited.
Your Support Makes This Possible
Humanitarian needs on Long Island are growing. More frequent storms, destructive home fires, and increasing challenges for military families require a strong, ready, and resilient Red Cross presence.
By supporting the renewal of our headquarters, you help us expand our reach and strengthen our ability to respond, every hour of every day.
The renovated Headquarters Building will house lines of service of the American Red Cross mission in one modern, accessible space on Willis Ave. in Mineola, N.Y.
Actual space built may differ in types of furnishings, equipment, colors, and space size from what is shown in photos.
