The American Red Cross in Greater New York is proud to announce the addition of Kirk Wickman to the organization’s Board of Directors. Wickman is the President of Angelo Gordon, a leading alternative investment firm, managing approximately $32 billion across a broad range of credit and real estate strategies.

“I learned to swim through Red Cross swimming lessons. I have followed my parents’ life-long example of regularly donating blood through local Red Cross blood drives,” said Wickman. “I have witnessed the tremendous leadership that the Red Cross provides when heart-breaking disasters occur near and far. I am thrilled to join the board of directors.”
Along with his role as President, Kirk Wickman is also a member of Angelo Gordon’s Management Committee. He joined the firm in 2008 as Chief Administrative Officer and in 2016 became Chief Operating Officer, supervising all non-investment functions at the firm. Previously, Kirk was General Counsel and a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley's Global Wealth Management business. Prior to that, Kirk worked at American Skandia as Senior Vice President and General Counsel, at Aetna Financial Services as Senior Vice President and General Counsel, and at Aetna Inc. as Vice President and Counsel.
Kirk began his career at Kirkland & Ellis where he was a partner specializing in securities, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law.
He holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and combined J.D. and M.B.A. from Brigham Young University.
