For more than a century, the American Red Cross has served the Metro New York North area. Our newly renovated Metro New York North Greenwich headquarters is where staff, volunteers, donors and members of the community will come together to drive the lifesaving work of the American Red Cross in our community.
Versatile, collaborative workspaces surround the key operational areas in this modern center for blood, training and humanitarian services in the Metro New York North Region.
The renovated donation center will offer a permanent location for donors to give blood and platelets locally and offer additional donation opportunities while providing lifesaving blood products to the community. Platelets play a critical role in the treatment of millions of people fighting cancer and other chronic diseases, as well as those recovering from traumatic injuries.
This building project is part of a $3 million PreResponder Campaign led by the Metro-North North Chapter to help modernize our Blood Services operations to ensure we can continue to help save lives for decades to come. In addition to the building project, donors can contribute toward important funding needed to invest in critical-mission solutions to provide in-depth testing, typing and matching of blood products for people with sickle cell disease. All Red Cross Chapters around the country are working to secure the needed funding to result in better blood matches for patients.
Members of the community can contribute to the building campaign and/or support sickle cell project or other mission investments and be celebrated through naming and recognition opportunities based on giving level.
Actual space to be built may differ in types of furnishings, equipment, colors, and space size from what is shown in photos.
The renovated Headquarters Building will house all five lines of service of the American Red Cross mission in one modern, accessible space on Indian Field Road in Greenwich, Conn.
