“This new blood collection center is the culmination of a lot of hard work and generous financial contributions from so many community members,” said Sid Taylor, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Greater Cincinnati Tri-State Chapter. “By making an appointment to give blood or platelets donors can feel good knowing that they may be helping patients not only in their community, but also their family and friends across the nation. The Red Cross, and all our supportive partners, are pleased to offer donors this new opportunity to help provide hope, healing and access to treatment for patients in need.”
Our special thanks to these companies and foundations for their generous financial support:

Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
Blood donor ambassadors needed The Red Cross is also in need of volunteers throughout the Central & Southern Ohio region, particularly Blood donor ambassadors for the new Cincinnati collection center. Blood donor ambassadors provide special attention to blood donors and create a favorable impression that encourages ongoing donor support.
