Tayen Landers was driving with his grandmother when he noticed she was losing consciousness and drifting into an intersection. He reached over, put the car in park, and did CPR. His quick action saved her life and made this 16 year old a true hero.

There’s no slowing down for retired teacher Joanne Stone. She has been teaching students the “Pillowcase Project” and “Prepare with Pedro” classes for years. This year alone, she's taught 1,800 students. In all, she's taught 10,000 kids!

How can you not have fun when you’re hanging out with good friends and a llama? Ceasar got big cheers from the crowd and big hugs from everyone who walked up to him. Buddy reminded the audience that blood donation is more inclusive than ever.

Our Service to the Armed Forces team got creative and made goodie bags for the service members putting in 14-hour days in hot and smoky conditions. The team worked closely with military leaders to get the goodies delivered to the frontlines of our fires.

Dwayne Cree Medicine's tradition told him to keep everything he was born with to ensure a smooth transition to the afterlife. But since being critcally injured, Dwayne is a proud blood donor and is working his way towards his second gallon milestone.

More than 1.6 million acres of land were burned by wildfires in the Cascades Region. The Red Cross opened 23 shelters. Our volunteers and staff showed up every step of the way and some got their first taste of what it feels like to be a shelter worker.
