We help Greater Pennsylvania communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.
You can bring help and hope to a homeless or at-risk veteran right here in the Greater Pennsylvania region. The American Red Cross is collecting personal care items that will be packaged into Resiliency Backpacks for homeless veterans, as well as items for Move-in Kits for formerly homeless veterans that are transitioning into housing.
Resiliency is vital before, during and after a disaster strikes. The local Red Cross is committed to helping community members prepare for potential emergencies. To learn more about local preparedness and resiliency efforts contact: Jennifer Bailey email@example.com.
Red Cross disaster relief focuses on meeting people's immediate emergency needs caused by disaster. When disaster threatens or strikes, the Red Cross provides shelter, food, and health and emotional health service to address basic human needs and assist individuals and families in resuming their normal daily activities independently.
We could have just the opportunity you’re looking for ... whether it's training to respond to disasters, supporting a blood drive, delivering messages to members of our military, or connecting families displaced by conflict, we hope you'll join our mission.
We collect blood every day from donors who help ensure a safe supply of blood when it’s needed.
We train individuals, families and organizations with lifesaving skills and provide emergency and disaster preparedness information. Our courses range from CPR training to lifeguard certification. The American Red Cross also offers Certified Nursing Assistant training to prepare people for careers in the Health Care field.

The American Red Cross works with the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network to meet the needs of the world’s most vulnerable communities. Our initiatives promote cost-effective, community-based programs while building the capacity of our partners to continue programs in the long-term. Using our global network, the American Red Cross also helps reconnect families that have been torn apart by war or disaster.
