Red Cross disaster relief focuses on meeting people's immediate emergency needs caused by disaster. When disaster threatens or strikes, the Red Cross provides shelter, food, and health and emotional health service to address basic human needs and assist individuals and families in resuming their normal daily activities independently.

We collect blood every day from donors who help ensure a safe supply of blood when it’s needed.

We train individuals, families and organizations with lifesaving skills and provide emergency and disaster preparedness information. Our courses range from CPR training to lifeguard certification. The American Red Cross also offers Certified Nursing Assistant training to prepare people for careers in the Health Care field.

The American Red Cross offers 24/7 emergency communications, counseling, financial assistance, and other services to members of the Armed Forces, veterans and military families. Call (877) 272-7337 if you are a Service member or the family of a Service member. You may also use that number if you are on Active Duty or reside in the same home as an Active Duty service member.

The American Red Cross is launching a nationwide campaign to reduce the number of home fire deaths and injuries by 25% over the next five years through the Home Fire Preparedness Safety Campaign.
