Our hearts go out to the Nicetown community following this morning's tragic explosion on the 1900 block of Bristol Street.
The American Red Cross and Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management (OEM) opened a reception center at Edward T. Steele Elementary School for those evacuated.
Along with our partners, we're providing residents with an air conditioned place to rest, meals and snacks while an assessment of the neighborhood and utilities is completed.
Support all the urgent humanitarian needs of the American Red Cross.
