Laura Hann’s connection to the American Red Cross began in her youth, when she completed babysitting, CPR and lifeguard training.
Laura competed two years of AmeriCorps service where she continued to be exposed to Red Cross training, becoming a certified shelter manager along the way.
Laura's personal mission and passion to help others aligned with that of the Red Cross and she joined the organization as the East Texas disaster specialist.
In 2014, Laura became the regional manager of individual preparedness and community resiliency, a role in which she developed a three year strategic plan for preparedness across multiple lines of service for the North Texas Region.
During that time, Laura had the opportunity to visit the South Plains area and, in 2016, she and her husband made the move to Lubbock so Laura could begin her current leadership role.
Laura holds a B.S. from Seton Hall University, is certified in Red Cross operation management and has completed graduate level coursework in public administration. Laura is an active member of the Lubbock Rotary Club, The Mayor's Community Engagement Taskforce and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
