Erwin Stierle serves as the Executive Director for the American Red Cross of District of Columbia. He started with the American Red Cross in January of 2011 as Director of our Preparedness, Health and Safety Services team of 30+ staff. He has been in this current role since 2013.
After serving in sales leadership roles for Fortune 500 companies to start-up technology companies for 15+ years, Erwin made the decision move to the nonprofit world to leverage his strategic planning capabilities; team building skills; and client, board and influencer relations experience.
Erwin works closely with a Board of exceptional volunteer leaders from District of Columbia as well as with Community Volunteer Leaders to engage our local community in the mission of the Red Cross.
He resides in Leesburg, VA with his wife, Kristin, daughters Brynn and Kate, and dogs Jude and Lennon.
