FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, D.C., OCT. 27, 2025 — The Red Cross of the National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region is proud to announce the appointment of Jennifer M. Eubanks as its new Chief Development Officer. In her new position, Eubanks will lead a team of nearly one dozen fundraising professionals, dedicated to engaging generous individuals, corporations and foundations in the Red Cross mission.
The National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region — comprised of the District of Columbia Chapter, the Northern Virginia Chapter, the Montgomery, Howard & Frederick Counties Chapter, the Central Maryland Chapter, the Southern Maryland Chapter, and the Delmarva Chapter — is powered by a workforce of more than 5,000 local volunteers.
“Jenn is a highly accomplished fundraiser and a respected leader,” said Dale Kunce, CEO of the Red Cross of the National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region. “She is a tireless advocate for both her team and the donors who support our work to prevent and alleviate human suffering. Her commitment to building strong relationships and fostering a culture of excellence has had a lasting impact on our organization. I am confident that under Jenn’s leadership, NCGC will continue to thrive and grow.”
Eubanks brings a wealth of experience, deep regional knowledge and a strong passion for the Red Cross mission. She comes to the role with a more than 20-year career in fundraising, including seven years of dedicated service with the American Red Cross. She previously served as development director for the Red Cross of the National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region (NCGC), and under her leadership, the team achieved six consecutive years of fundraising success, consistently surpassing annual targets.
Eubanks has also led the NCGC Tiffany Circle, a distinguished network of women philanthropists committed to advancing the Red Cross mission through leadership, service and giving.
Before joining the Red Cross, Eubanks built her career in healthcare philanthropy and higher education. A native of the Fredericksburg, Virginia area, she is a proud graduate of George Mason University.
An average of 90 cents of every dollar the Red Cross spends is invested in providing care and comfort for those in need. In the last fiscal year, the Red Cross of the National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region distributed more than $1.4 million in direct financial assistance to local families who had experienced a home fire or other disaster.
