Fort Myers, Fla. (March 28, 2024) – In honor of Red Cross Month and Giving Day, NeoGenomics Laboratories, a Platinum Plus Partner in the Ready365 Giving Program, lit up their headquarters in hues of vibrant red to support the American Red Cross this March.
By lighting up in red, NeoGenomics paid tribute to the Red Cross and honored the organization's humanitarian mission and community volunteer heroes.
"We are deeply grateful to NeoGenomics for illuminating their headquarters in red to honor Red Cross Month," said Jill Palmer, executive director for the Florida Gulf Coast to Heartland Chapter. "Their support shines as a beacon of hope, reinforcing our shared vision of alleviating suffering in the face of emergencies. As a Platinum-Plus Partner, NeoGenomics stands ready with the Red Cross to provide lifesaving services wherever and whenever needed."
During Red Cross Month, volunteers are recognized and honored for providing hope and relief to families when help can't wait during disasters. They are the true heroes of the Red Cross, comprising 90% of the workforce.
More than 80 years ago, March was first proclaimed Red Cross Month in 1943 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to raise awareness of the organization and its humanitarian mission. Today, we continue to celebrate this month by asking everyone to be there for our communities when they need us most.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED Red Cross volunteers stand by thousands of families every year, providing resources and emotional support to help people recover after disasters, both big and small. This year, our volunteers have provided families with the support they need during local emergencies like home fires. Visit redcross.org/volunteertoday to become a local hero.
