When disaster strikes, women are often among the first to answer the call. Today, most Red Cross volunteers across the country and in the Kentucky Region are women. Join us from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on November 10, 2026 for an inside look at how women lead American Red Cross disaster response efforts, support families during times of crisis, and strengthen recovery and community resilience.
Hear firsthand what it’s like to help during a disaster from Cindy Keeney, a volunteer with nearly a decade of experience who has supported many disaster responses during her time with the Red Cross. Then, learn how Red Cross Mass Care teams support families affected by disasters, hear insights from Kentucky Region and Tiffany Circle leaders and discover how compassionate individuals help communities recover.
Refreshments begin at 8:30 a.m. This event will include optional networking from 10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
