Montana Red Cross volunteers are providing food, lodging and other support to 21 families following an early morning fire at the Glacier Apartments in Great Falls.
Red Cross is putting families up at local hotels, giving them a safe place to stay while also keeping social distancing measures in place. They are also working with local restaurants to provide meals, and Albertsons has donated water, drinks and snacks.
Red Cross is helping clients replace medications and items like eye glasses and connecting them with mental health services and other community resources.
Last year, the Montana Red Cross provided food, shelter and support to 566 people following a disaster, most of them home and apartment fires.
