Volunteers will install free smoke alarms in Southern Nevada during spring campaign
LAS VEGAS, NV (May 2, 2018) - Red Cross volunteers will visit Southern Nevada neighborhoods to install free smoke alarms during the organization’s Sound the Alarm campaign. The Southern Nevada office plans to install 1,000 smoke alarms through May 12. The main installation event is set to take place on May 12, at the Doolittle Community Center (area neighborhoods). Volunteers will customize evacuation plans and share education information during installation visits.

The Sound the Alarm campaign is part of a nationwide effort by the Red Cross to install 100,000 free smoke alarms nationwide. Southern Nevada Red Cross volunteers have teamed-up with fire departments and local community partners to promote home fire safety at these smoke alarm installation events.
